General Information and dates
The Thai Massage Retreat & Conference is the only event of its kind in the world of traditional Thai healing arts. It is open to all students and practitioners of traditional Thai massage. Participants must have a minimum of thirty (30) hours of Thai massage study with any teacher around the world. You do not need to be a member of THAI to attend this event. The conference begins on Wednesday, 23 June and closing ceremonies are Sunday, the 27th, at 3 p.m. All participants should arrive on Iz island at some time on Wednesday afternoon, June 23, or earlier.

The teachers
Some of the finest teachers of Thai massage will present a selection of specialized workshops, presentations and panel discussions over this 4 day special event. Instructors include Ralf Marzen (Germany/UK), Davor Haber (Croatia), Danko Lara Radic (Serbia), Noam Tyroler (Israel), Bob Haddad (USA), Tirza Bottema (Holland), Eric Spivack (USA), Hans Lütz (Germany), and others to be announced.

How to Register
The registration fee for this event, including all workshops and activities, is 329 EUR (charged as $458 USD). You may pay in full by credit card now or make a deposit and pay the balance in cash (euros or US dollars only) when you arrive at the conference. To reserve your space in this event, a non-refundable deposit of 100 EUR is required, which must be paid by credit card. The PayPal system on the THAI web site accepts Master Card, Visa, American Express and Discover. After you register, you will receive a registration confirmation by e-mail, and further information about the Retreat & Conference.
The Island of Iz
The 2010 International Thai Massage Retreat and Conference takes place on the island of Veli Iz, near the coastal city of Zadar, Croatia. Zadar is easily reached by air from many European cities, including discount airlines such as Ryanair, German Wings, etc., as well as Croatian Airlines, which flies to Zagreb and Zadar. Direct bus service is available to Zadar from many German cities as well as from Venice, Trieste, Ljubljana, Vienna, Zurich and Rotterdam. From Zadar, regular ferry service runs to the island of Iz, (one hour).
The Korinjak hotel and resort
The site for the 2010 International Thai Massage Retreat and Conference is the Hotel Korinjak, where reasonably priced hotel rooms and options for camping are available to all participants. Hotel Korinjak is the first hotel in the Adriatic developed for ecological and holistic health programs. Vegetarian meals per day are included in the price of hotel rooms and camping fees. The hotel is situated at the entrance of a small harbor, and is surrounded by beaches. All workshops, presentations and panel discussions take place at the resort, in several rooms especially reserved for Thai Healing Alliance. The cheaper rooms are in the older Lavanda wing and the more expensive rooms are in the more modern Maslina wing. The prices (per-person) for hotel rooms for all 4 nights (including two or three meals per day) are as follows: Double rooms cost 142 - 247 Euros for 4 nights; Single rooms cost 259 - 287 Euros for 4 nights; Camping costs only 121 Euros for 4 nights, including meals. All accommodation packages include two or three vegetarian meals per day in self-service style.

THAI will help reserve your preferred room after you register for the conference. If you are travelling with friends or family members, you may reserve more than one room at the same price, even if your travelling companions are not attending the conference.

Retreat & Conference - Schedule of Events
The four day event is the only one of its kind in Europe for Thai massage. Each day there will be three workshops or presentations on various aspects of traditional Thai massage as well as and supervised Thai massage practice. Supervised yoga, tai chi instruction or silent meditation are available each morning, and in the evenings there will be social events and gatherings with Thai massage practitioners from all around the world.
