Membership Committee -
People on the Membership Committee are responsible for soliciting new members by e-mail, phone, and in person. They help distribute membership information, plan regional events, and
help to recruit students and practitioners in their own geographic area. THAI
currently needs people for all levels of membership, and for many regions
throughout the world. (This is a self-paced ongoing position,
carried out by e-mail and phone.)
Archive & Publication Committee -
These members help to write articles and gather news items and written
information about Thai massage to be published in the THAI members' area and in
the Living Traditions newsletter. Some interest in research and
experience in writing or editing is helpful. (The THAI
archives are updated with new information on a regular basis, and the newsletter
is printed twice a year, in January and July.)
Public Relations and Publicity
Committee -
THAI needs help in spreading news about our organization to
the press, and to potential donors and sponsors. THAI is
the only non-partisan organization dedicated to the standardization of study and
practice of traditional Thai massage. We need that message to be professionally
delivered to the media.
Fund Raising Committee -
This people on this committee solicit potential
sponsors and advertisers, and follow up on leads in order solicit tax-exempt
donations to the organization. Experience in non-profit work, fund raising or
promotional services is helpful, though not required.
